Recurring SAPW protection

Annual Mature Palm Protection Program

I return every three months to treat your palms and check for changes. SDPP keeps the next visit on the calendar.

Owner-Led Palm Stewardship

Owner-led South American palm weevil prevention and licensed treatment for valuable mature palms, with assessments, recurring care, decline response, and qualified-contractor coordination.

Treatment recommendations and applications remain subject to the pesticide label, applicable law, site conditions, and agreed scope.

Four visits each year

Protection stays on the calendar.

Each scheduled visit keeps preventive treatment and the palm's visible condition connected over time.

Review

Inspect the palm for visible health changes and signs that may require a different response.

Treat

Perform the scheduled preventive SAPW treatment within label, legal, site, and agreed-scope requirements.

Record

Add repeat photographs and the completed service to the palm's history.

Schedule

Set the next visit and keep the reminder with SDPP.

Built for valuable palms

Simple for the owner. Consistent for the palm.

The program is designed for mature Canary Island date palms and other appropriate high-value specimens where recurring preventive protection is warranted.

Home and estate palms

A straightforward annual relationship for one mature palm or a small group.

Managed properties

The same program scaled to an agreed portfolio and efficient service route.

Priority response

Program clients receive priority attention when concerning symptoms appear between scheduled visits.

Before the first treatment

Tell me about the palms you want to protect.

Start with your city, the number of palms, any visible changes, and the treatment history you know. I review the palm and site before recommending the work and quoting the annual scope.

Does every palm need the same treatment?

No. Species, size, condition, access, irrigation, prior treatment and the product label affect the plan. Four scheduled visits keep the review and service on the calendar; the treatment at each visit must fit the palm and site.

What if the palm changes between visits?

Call or text me when you notice a change. Program clients receive priority attention, and we can decide whether the palm needs a visit before its next scheduled treatment. Do not wait for the quarterly visit if the crown changes quickly.

Where do you work?

I am based in Escondido and serve North County and selected San Diego County properties. See local palm care in Escondido, Poway and Rancho Santa Fe, or send your city with the inquiry.

After each visit

I keep track of what changes.

I photograph the whole palm and take closer views of the crown. When I return, I compare those views and add the work to the treatment record.

Dated photographs

Whole-palm and crown views, plus visible concerns where access safely permits. Repeat views help us compare changes.

Work and observations

The service performed, visible findings and the history you supplied. An observation is kept separate from a confirmed diagnosis.

The next step

The next scheduled visit and any recommended action. If you see a concerning change between visits, contact me rather than waiting.

From recent field work

See what a treatment visit looks like.

My September field notes show mature palms and equipment during preventive-treatment visits. They document the work, not a promise that a palm will never decline.
